Description
Langosch is a delicious fried yeast dough that transforms even the simplest meal into something extraordinary, topped with garlic, sour cream, and cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500g flour
- 250ml warm water
- 1 packet yeast
- 2 cloves garlic
- 200g sour cream
- 150g cheese (grated or feta)
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the yeast dough by mixing the ingredients in a large bowl and knead well. Let it rest in a warm place for at least 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Divide the risen dough into equal portions and gently flatten each to form the typical langosch shape.
- Fry in hot oil (180°C) for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove them.
- Serve with grated garlic, a dollop of sour cream, and sprinkle generously with cheese. Enjoy!
Notes
You can prepare the dough a day in advance and refrigerate it overnight. Ensure the oil is hot enough to avoid greasy results.
