Description

A delicious and hearty vegetarian lasagna packed with layers of ricotta, spinach, and marinara sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups fresh spinach
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain.
  3. Combine ricotta cheese, egg, spinach, basil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer 3 noodles on top of the sauce.
  6. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
  7. Sprinkle with one-third of the mozzarella cheese.
  8. Add another layer of marinara sauce.
  9. Repeat the layers two more times, finishing with remaining noodles, sauce, and mozzarella cheese on top.
  10. Bake for 45 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing to ensure clean cuts.
